Ingredients
  

  • 2 shots espresso or 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp 2 tablespoons of caramel syrup Optional
  • Vanilla syrup for added flavor Optional
  • Ice Optional

Equipment

  • Espresso machine or strong brewed coffee Using a FrenchPress, AeroPress, or instant coffee
  • Milk steamer or saucepan for heating milk
  • Coffee cups
  • Stirring spoon

Method
 

  1. Brew 2 shots of espresso or make 1/2 cup of strong brewed coffee.
  2. In a milk steamer or on the stovetop, heat 1 cup of milk until it's steaming but not boiling.
  3. If desired, add a splash of vanilla syrup to the milk for extra flavor.
  4. Pour the hot milk over the brewed espresso or coffee in a coffee cup.
  5. Optional: Drizzle 1 tablespoon of caramel syrup over the milk.
  6. Optional: Add ice if you prefer an iced version of the macchiato.
  7. Stir gently to mix the flavors.
  8. Optional: Drizzle an additional tablespoon of caramel syrup on top for decoration.
  9. Serve and enjoy your homemade Caramel Macchiato!
